Meet Olivia Hahn

Olivia Hahn is a singer-songwriter from Victoria, BC, with Hungarian, Spanish, and British roots. She is bilingual in English and French. After losing her mother to cancer at 15, she began expressing grief through music, writing, poetry, and dance, and has since written three books about loss from a teen's perspective. Her debut single, Lust Over Love, was released March 14, 2025, and she is currently completing her demo EP for summer 2025. Olivia blends pop with blues, R&B, electronic, and vintage influences, pairing modern beats with strong storytelling. She loves performing originals and covers, and believes music is a place where emotion, memory, and healing meet. Olivia has also volunteered and fundraised with organizations including BC Cancer Society, Hospice, Learning Through Loss, Women In Need, and United Way, and speaks at schools about navigating grief. Grief doesn't just come from losing someone to death, it comes from losing people in all kinds of ways. When I wrote my books, I wanted to help others navigate the pain of losing a loved one to illness. As time went on, I realized grief shows up in relationships, heartbreak, betrayal and even in losing parts of yourself.

That's why I moved to songwriting. Music gives grief a different voice - one that's raw, loud and unapologetic. It lets me capture not just the sadness, but the fire, the fights, and the strength that comes after. My songs aren't just about pain; they're about survival, about reclaiming power, about turning loss into something fierce and unforgettable.

Grief doesn't have to silence us. It can make us sing.

Lust Over Love is an anthem for women to feel inspired, to realize their worth and stand up for themselves. This song is about being played and finding the strength in the hurt.
